There is a reason Disney World is called “The Happiest Place On Earth”! It is truly a magical place for your family to experience together. Where else can you meet your favorite Disney characters, be treated like a princess, go on a jungle safari, and explore 11 different countries without leaving the park?!
You will experience exciting rides, entertaining shows, amazing fireworks, and unique dining experiences during your stay at Walt Disney World. There is so much to look forward to when planning a trip to Disney, but making all of the arrangements can be overwhelming! I am here to share with you how to plan the perfect Disney vacation for your family!
There are SO many options when it comes to choosing where to stay during your Disney vacation. Do you want to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort? Or maybe a Good Neighbor Hotel is a better fit for you?
There are also tons of other choices in Orlando to choose from. You know your budget but what else is there to consider when choosing where to stay?
Disney Resort Hotels
There are many benefits to staying at a Disney Hotel. There is nothing closer to the magic than staying at a Disney Resort Hotel and you can even receive wake up calls from your favorite Disney characters! You also get an “Extra Magic Hour” meaning extra time in the park, before or after hours, in addition to a number of other Disney extras!
Good Neighbor Hotels
Good neighbor hotels are Disney approved hotels that offer value and convenience. These hotels are within reasonable distance to Disney World and offer transportation to the park. You can expect quality service from Good Neighbor Hotels.
Walt Disney World features over 200 dining options, ranging from quick service to formal dining experiences. Do you want to grab a quick bite to eat or have a meal with your favorite Disney Princesses? Do you want formal table service or would you like to watch a show while you have dinner?
This will require planning because some options require reservations. Dining reservations at Disney World can be made up to 60 days in advance. You can also choose from dining plans as part of your Disney vacation package.
Disney World Theme Parks
Disney World has four AMAZING theme parks and two INCREDIBLE water parks! If you want to see it all, I would recommend planning a trip for 6-7 days. If you only want to visit two or three of the theme parks you could book a shorter trip. You also may want to consider if there are other attractions in Central Florida that you would like to visit, such as Universal Studios or Sea World.
You can combine a visit to Walt Disney World with a Disney Cruise! Disney Cruises leave out of Port Canaveral, which is less than two hours from Disney World. You can visit the park before you leave on your cruise! The total value of your cruise includes dining, entertainment, and access to Disney’s private island! You can also enjoy water slides and meet your favorite Disney characters on board!
Other Things To Consider
When planning your trip, it is best to create an itinerary so you can book your Fast Passes at ideal times. Fast Passes allow you to skip the lines to your favorite rides, and you can book up to three in advance. You want to optimize your Fast Pass schedule so your day flows well. Do you want to book Park Hopper tickets or one day-one park tickets? The difference is, Park Hoppers can visit multiple parks in a single day. You can also upgrade to a Park Hopper Plus!
