When I became a mom I gained the most wonderful treasure I could ever have imagined, my son Artie. As a new mom I also gained wisdom, appreciation, and patience that I never knew to be possible. Along with all of these things that I gained, there was also something I lost… time to myself. That time I used to spend in front of my mirror each day was long gone. After several months of looking like a hot mess, I picked up a few tips and tricks that made looking (and feeling) good so much easier! These time saving beauty products for moms will help you leave the house feeling like a rock star!
These gold eye masks work MIRACLES after spending a long, sleepless night with your newborn. They help with dark circles, puffiness, and you can put them in the refrigerator to kick things up a notch!
Dry shampoo is a mom’s best friend! It’s hard to feel like yourself when you don’t have time to shower, but a little dry shampoo and running a brush through your hair can work wonders!
I have tried at least ten different kinds and I absolutely love this brand! Unlike most dry shampoos, it sprays on colorless, without leaving behind any white residue. It also adds volume so your hair will look AMAZING in any style!
One thing we will regret letting fall by the wayside as moms is our skincare. It is important to have a daily skincare regimen in place but on the most tiring days, these makeup wipes are a great backup plan! One of the worst things you can do for your skin is to sleep in your makeup but these wipes will clean your face in seconds, and without water.
I’m absolutely OBSESSED with this sheer tint broad spectrum SPF by PCA. It matches every skin tone and I use it daily to help balance my complexion. As a mom I don’t usually have time to put on a full face of makeup but with this sheer tint and a little mascara I’m loving what I see in the mirror!
You don’t have to use much so this bottle usually lasts me about three months. For a more cost efficient option try Maybelline Dream BB Fresh Beauty Balm with SPF!
As much as I love dry shampoo, eventually we have to wash our hair… For those days when I must wash but I know I won’t have the time to dry, I go for a beachy look!
Clip In Extensions
I tried to keep my hair long but about 6 months into motherhood I knew it was time to chop it off. I cut my hair up to my shoulders and loved how quick and easy my hair care became.
I am so happy to have my low maintenance hair cut but on special occasions I use clip in extensions to spice things up! It’s so much fun to have a new look every now and then without the time and energy it takes to maintain long hair.
Wet Paddle Brush
I have A LOT of very thin hair so it used to take at least ten minutes to brush the knots out of my wet hair. This brush MORE THAN cut that time in half! I tried the smaller version but the paddle wet brush works much better for me.
I brush It’s A 10 leave in conditioner through my hair with this brush and the tangles are gone instantly! My hair looks noticeably more healthy since I switched to this brush.
Sunless Tanning Lotion
I love how my skin looks with a tan but as a mom I definitely don’t have any free time to lay outside and relax in the sun. A quick (and safe) option is sunless, self tanning lotion!
I use this organic option since my son is climbing up and down me all day, and it looks SO natural! It leaves your skin with a well blended bronze color and doesn’t have that orangey tint that some self tanners create.
